Under 25? Get your underage car rental fee waived, compliments of a FRAT!

A reader pointed out that it was irresponsible for me to post this because if you’re in an accident, improperly using a coupon could invalidate your insurance coverage. Follow an article by Million Mile Secrets for a more legitimate way of getting your fee waived.

Do you remember fraternities from university, or are currently sipping from their oh-so-sweet Silo cups? Well, compliments of Beta Gamma Sigma and Enterprise, you can get your underage car rental fee waived, in addition to a discount on the rental fee. Isn’t that great?

Here’s an example for a 1-day rental with the discount for an under-25 driver:

You’re saving $19.77 per day!

Note: You should never use corporate codes that you’re not entitled to use. The rental agency could ask for verification and would be entitled to cancel or upcharge your rental if you can’t prove your association with the entity. You use this promotion at your own risk!

  1. This seems like an irresponsible post. If there is an accident with a rental car rented using this organization’s promotion code, the first thing that an adjuster affiliated with the rental car company looking after its best interests (not yours) will be to verify that you had the right to use that promotional code. Quickly, he or she would be delighted to close out this case as a situation where you had no right to use that code, therefore your purchase was invalid, therefore the rental car company’s insurance does not apply. Done. And onto his or her next case.

  2. Nothing is ever a complete disaster when you are able to learn. That has been a lifelong learning lesson for me.

I have also learned over and over again that the people who benefit from what you write typically do not respond publicly or at all; so I will bet that some of your readers either benefited or learned from your article.
