HURRY! Delta A350 Business Suite 9 Seats Open Low-Level Award!

Delta recently announced their new Delta One concept on the newly-released aircraft, the A350. The seats look very nice, being the only North American carrier to have closing doors on their aircraft. Airlines that have a similar feature include Emirates, Etihad, and Singapore Airlines. Here’s a recent promotional release:

Skymiles are known to be a challenge to use, with few award seats in business available at low-level rates. This is especially true for award seats on Delta metal. It’s not unheard of to only be able to get a seat on Delta for 400,000+ Skymiles. However, I stumbled across the following Delta flight on the new A350 Atlanta to/from Seoul with incredible amounts of award availability in business class.

On many days, the flight has nine (or more) award seats in business available:

And lots of availability for four seats around Easter 2018:

The return flight (Seoul – Atlanta) has lots of award availability as well, though a little less than compared with Atlanta – Seoul. Remember that if you find connecting flights within North America on Delta “low level” business or economy, the trip should still price out as 80,000 per person. Further, since Seoul (ICN or GMP) is a hub for one of the largest Skyteam/Skymiles partners, Korean Air, any connecting flight from Seoul should cost the same amount as long as you remain in the same award zone (though you could certainly use this Delta space as connecting to a flight in a different zone for low-level pricing, like Australia). Since ICN and GMP are considered as co-terminals, you can fly into one airport and connect at the other airport on the same ticket as a layover (under 24H).

Skymiles are easy to get, but hard to redeem. If you fly after March 24, 2018 on this route, you’ll get to fly on what may be on of North/South America’s best international business class cabins. Having so much low-level availability is rare, so I would recommend grabbing the seats now. Remember that you have until 11:59PM the next day to change/refund your award for free due to Delta’s generous grace period.
