Cheaptickets used to be under the constellation of hotel sites owned by Orbitz, accessing the same inventory. Although they had good coupons, with consistent 20-25% off, the Orbitz rates were inflated, and good rates were hard to get.

The Intercontinental Monterey the Clement is located right on the historic Cannery Row of Monterey, directly overlooking the water. It is a relatively new property, and arguably one of the finest hotels in Monterey. I stayed there for two nights during late April, and I had what can be best described as a weird, but all-around good stay.
I booked this hotel on the Orbitz VISACHECKOUT $100-off promotion from a couple weeks ago, paying $33 in the end. Even with this significant discount, I regret staying at the ALT Hotel-Toronto, and would have rather paid more or used points to stay at a different hotel.
Yesterday I made a bid for a Priceline ‘Name Your Own Price’ hotel in San Diego, CA. Unfortunately, I did not get the hotel rate/place that I wanted. I had to figure out a way to get the reservation refunded. Unfortunately, Priceline is pretty darn tough about cancelling Priceline NYOP reservations, and the only (known) exception is death of a family member.
