I have to say, United’s Global First Class is the single most awesome thing in the sky. Emirates shower? Meh! Lufthansa’s caviar? Too salty! United has captured the essence of what First Class ought to be, and has ruined me for the future.
I recently stayed at the Ritz-Carlton Boston on Avery Street (!) for three nights using free night vouchers. While perfectly located and comfortable, the hotel suffers from some drawbacks, namely that it is outdated and obscenely priced.
Getting a surprise upgrade to Lufthansa First Class was the focus of the last post, and now I will review the product itself.
I will forgo reviewing the positioning United flight from Ottawa-Washington, other than to note it felt like a much nicer domestic first service than experienced in the past and United may be making some real improvements. I wasn’t planning on writing this trip report. Indeed, I rarely write trip repots, largely because they’re a hassle and most products have been reviewed too many times.
