I don’t usually pay for hotel rooms. Most of my hotel stays are IHG BRGs, point stays, or mistake fares… sometimes, I even stay at hostels (the shame!).

This is a list of all international routes that go to and leave US/Canada. This list can be quite helpful when you’re trying to build an award ticket with OneWorld carriers, using BA Avios, or AAdvantage (or other OneWorld frequent flyer programs). All Canadian destinations are in bold.
My favourite Aeroplan redemption is travelling within the Pacific region. For 25,000 points (40k in J and 55k in F) you can travel in economy anywhere in the region. What’s so special about these redemptions is that typically getting from island-to-island, or from Australia/New Zealand to some of these small (but beautiful) Pacific islands can be prohibitively expensive.
