TD Aeroplan Visa Infinite 25,000 Aeroplan Points with First Year Free + $50 is Back!

Many thanks to Prmetime for pointing this out on Flyertalk.

The TD Aeroplan Visa Infinite offer, with 25,000 Aeroplan points and first year free (FYF) has come back. If you apply for the card through Great Canadian Rebates (this is not a referral), you’ll also get a $50 cheque mailed to you.

You will get 15,000 Aeroplan miles on your first purchase, and an additional 10,000 Aeroplan miles after spending $1000 in the first three months of owning the card.  To qualify, you need a $60,000 personal income, or a $100,000 household income.

If you do not qualify for the TD Aeroplan Visa Infinite, you can look to the TD Aeroplan Platinum, which will give you 10,000 Aeroplan miles on your first purchase, and an additional 5,000 Aeroplan miles after spending $1000 in the first three months of owning the card. Through GCR, you’ll also get a $30 cheque.

Note the following terms:

If you have opened an Account in the last 6 months, you will not be eligible for this offer.

Existing TD Aeroplan Cardholders are not eligible for this offer.

To receive the 10,000 Aeroplan Miles Bonus (“10,000 Miles Bonus”), you must apply for a TD Aeroplan Visa Infinite Card Account (“Account”) by May 8, 2015, be approved, and have $1,000 in Purchases, including your first Purchase, posted to your Account within the first 90 days of Account opening.

So you cannot currently be a TD Aeroplan card holder, and not have opened a TD card within the last 6 months, and apply by May 8th, 2015.

The rebate works in a rather idiosyncratic way. Your account is typically first charged the fee, then in the same bill (or sometimes the next bill), you’re refunded the fee. Others also just never get the annual fee applied. I would recommend printing/saving the offer, so if your fee is applied with no rebate, you can point to it and get your fee waived.

If you don’t want to go through GCR, in which case you won’t qualify for the $50/$30 cheque, you can apply directly (this is not a referral).

  1. Thanks Avery, I need to go to Columbus in October for a friend’s wedding, just need 15k AP for a roundtrip ticket 🙂

  2. I applied for this card last April and cancelled it last month. Since I applied for the card more than 6 months ago, would I be able to reapply for the card and quality for the bonus miles?
