A small consulting firm near Granville Island (Vancouver, B.C.) is hiring a part–time Travel Management Consultant (“TravelMC”).
The Role
This position provides support to management in delivering innovative research, project management, and the highest standards of professionalism to our key travel industry client. Candidates should be familiar with travel booking and ticketing procedures (e.g. LAX-DOH-BOM QR J at 1.5cpm, OW).
Compensation
Premium salary consistent with industry standards.
What you need
Role requirements include:
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills
- Strong grasp of modern technologies (Word, WordPress, social media)
- A passion for travel and/or travel planning
Bonus points
Having worked at an award booking service, travel agency, or producing points/miles content. PMP credentials and startup experience is a plus.
Hours
Work hours are inconsistent but flexible and will vary from 0 – 20+ per week. There is a “more in than out” policy, with 60% of time expected in a centrally located Vancouver office and 40% remotely.
COVID
We take COVID-19 seriously and will vary in–office time according to public health orders, health needs, and regional infection rates.
Term
Currently, we are seeking someone for a casual part–time role with availability during Pacific Time business hours. This role would be ideal for someone with schedule flexibility, like a student, contractor, or is looking for a second job.
This is a term role with an expected 1½ year period, though contract renewal is possible.
