Copa flights available on Aeroplan – maybe for a short time!

Copa Airlines, a South American Star Alliance airline, hasn’t been bookable on Aeroplan for a while. They’re a pretty good airline for award availability, and Aeroplan doesn’t charge fuel surcharges (YQ) on them. Aeroplan has been the only Star Alliance frequent flyer program that hasn’t been able to book Copa flights. Throughout the year, there have been short periods, in terms of hours, that Copa has been bookable. Right now, Copa is bookable. This could be a permanent fix to the issue, or could be short lasting.

There are some good deals out of Toronto and Montreal…

Toronto YYZ – Nice NCE on Turkish Airlines for $517USD

This fare is available late March and all of April. You have to have a long layover in Istanbul, however, you may qualify for a free hotel in Istanbul from Turkish Airlines. From what I’ve heard they’re nice hotels, and Istanbul is a GREAT city to have a full day in!

TAM airlines, once a Star Alliance carrier and now part of the OneWorld alliance, has starting flying a fifth freedom routing of Toronto YYZ to New York City JFK to Sao Paulo GRU. The Toronto YYZ to New York City JFK route is starting March 29, and can now be booked.
