Choice Privileges lets you redeem their points on most Preferred Hotels both on a fixed rate and a cash and points basis. Buying Points

Ending tomorrow, August 17, you can buy Choice Privileges points at a 30% discount. This is a tiered promotion, meaning you have to buy at least 40,000 points to get the maximum discount tier. You can buy 40,000 points for $US 308 – if you put an American address for the billing address, you should be able to avoid Canadian tax.

Redeeming for Preferred Hotels and Resorts

You can use Choice Privileges points at most hotels in the Preferred Hotels and Resorts program. This is a huge program made up of world-leading hotels. There are two ways to redeem your points: fixed-points redemption and cash+points. The fixed-points redemptions depend on the hotel, and range from 25,000 – 55,000 points per night.
