Aeroplan waiving fuel surcharges on Air Canada flights for Elite members (March 1st)
I just got an email concerning changes with Air Canada and Aeroplan. There are a number of significant changes, but the most significant is:
This is a major, amazing, and awesome change. This opens up a whole lot of redemption opportunities that make Air Canada redemptions on Aeroplan worthwhile.
What do they mean by altitude members is it hard to get this?
When AC refers to Altitude, they mean if you have any status with them, from P25K+
This is different from just having an Aeroplan account, which AC doesn’t count.
Maybe not so good news if this means they devalue their award chart at the same time…..
no YQ for elites on AC is for North America only, which is 27 dollars each way? Only se 100k get intl YQ waived on ac. Are you SE100k?
Oh hell no, I’d never pay to fly that much!
Finally we can redeem for PY! I can not stand Y class anymore for long haul flights!
