HURRY! No Fuel Surcharge on TAP Toronto with Aeroplan!
TAP Portugal started a new route between Toronto and Lisbon. Unfortunately, Aeroplan typically charges very high fuel surcharges on TAP. For example, Boston – Lisbon is around $300 in fees per person per way in Business.
A reader sent me a message saying that Aeroplan isn’t currently levying fuel surcharges on the Toronto – Lisbon (or vice-versa) flight. There’s excellent award availability. This feels like a glitch, so if you’re interested in this route, HURRY and book now.
A note of caution: while currently scheduled on the A330, it’s not clear whether the flight would be on an angled-flat or lie-flat seating.
Oh man, flights start June 10th. I was hoping to score one of these but I gotta travel late-May.
While the site shows availability, I get the error
UNABLE TO COMPLETE BOOKING. THE ITINERARY YOU REQUESTED IS NOT AVAILABLE
We’re sorry, but due to real-time availability, the itinerary you requested is no longer available.
Neither business class nor economy will process. Mid June 2017. Anyone else have the same issue or the solution?
I get the same message. No inventory available when you get to the “book” stage, regardless of the date you use.
Note TAP has only angle flat on their own 332s. They wet leased some from Azul which are full flat but it’s really hard to find if they are operating on those aircrafts.
Thanks for the post. I was able to snag 2 business class seats for my parents in July.
