Air Canada and Masterpass are offering a $CAD 60 gift card to the first 12,500 buyers of any flight on the Air Canada website.
I’ll explain the terms of the promotion and how to get your gift card.
According to the terms of the offer, the first 12,500 people who use Masterpass between October 23, 2017 at 12:00 AM EST and Nov 19, 2017 11:59PM EST to purchase any flight on the Air Canada website will receive a $60CAD Air Canada electronic gift card.
Gift cards cannot be combined, and a maximum of two gift cards can be used on a single transaction, provided that the gift card covers your total ticket cost. You can use gift cards for seat assignments and other ancillary services.
Gift cards will be emailed three weeks after the qualifying purchase. Your ticket has to be valid on the date that you receive the gift card.
There is no provision that the ticket remain valid after purchasing the ticket, nor is there a provision that limits how many gift cards a single person can earn.
Masterpass is payment system, similar to Paypal, owned and operated by Mastercard. Surprisingly, you can use any credit card with Masterpass, including American Express, and still get the benefits of this promotion.
You can open a Masterpass account when you complete payment, which is explained below.
How to Earn a Gift Card
Step 1 – Search for Flights on Air Canada
Use the Air Canada website and search for your desired flight.
If it’s cheaper, you may wish to consider buying your tickets as two one-ways instead of one round-trip, since you could earn two gift cards instead of one.
Step 2 – Register for Masterpass
After selecting your desired flight, enter your personal information and proceed to the payment screen. Click on “Masterpass“:
Complete the prompts on the Masterpass form. If you already have an account, login. If not, open a new account.
You can use a Visa, Mastercard, or American Express with Masterpass. Use the card that gets you the best rewards / insurance for your needs.
Step 3 – Wait for Your Gift Card
Three weeks after booking, you’ll receive an email with your Air Canada e-gift card. Rinse and repeat!
Air Canada is offering a $CAD 60 e-gift card on any purchase on the Air Canada website using Masterpass. There are no maximum use or booking limitations, but the promotion will likely end soon with a maximum redemption limit of 12,500.
If you’re looking at booking a trip soon, especially short-haul domestic flights, this is a great opportunity to save money with Air Canada!
Will you be buying a trip with Air Canada for this promotion?
