I don’t want to go into too much detail, but: don’t use Square to manufacture spend on a credit card, especially on AMEX (Canada). I did so, and it ended poorly.

Well that sucks. I hope I can still use it to collect rent from my roommate and have my small business reimburse me for expenses…

Do you mean don’t charge yourself? Or is it still OK to charge others?
The charge was against a different name from the card.
I hear through the grapevine that AMEX is banning those who tried. Surprising really.
